Mercy is not a harlot of Justice. Mercy is not a pass. Mercy is the execution of all justice on One who was innocent... I want godly Justice. God wants to call me to godly Mercy. Neither wins unless we both do and that requires repentance.
Justice is not something we just seek to uphold. Justice is something we model to the fallen world.
Learn The Steps To Answering Angry Atheists...
Reasonable people, who don’t believe in deities don’t attack the invisible God behind your behavior. They address your behavior that they think is problematic. If a person fights against a being they claim does not exist, if a person insults, cusses out, and blasphemes a deity they say does not exist, if a person hates something they say is a delusion, then the Good News is that they are not beyond reach.
The book of Genesis tells us that when God created human beings, He created them in His own likeness: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them,” (Gen. 1:27). Embrace their ministry. Listen to their ideas.
Stop trying to force people to come up to where you think they ought to be, and you go down to where they are. That is what Jesus does. He does not call us up to His level. He meets us at our hurts, our struggles, and our needs. He is incarnate with our pain and he walks that path with us.
