As a Jesus follower who drops the occasional wtf, I’ve felt at times that my swearing was acceptable, when not directed at another individual. I feel more comfortable morally and biblically with that than gossip or a critical spirit. But then I remember the passages in James and know that I have no control of my tongue. What a wretched state. I had pretty much given up trying to control it. Thanks for the gentle biblical reminder. Duly convicted here
