Thinking about it counts! You are one your way! Keep going.
Paper-books are just vanity. If you can get it in ebook you don't need books to steal your living space. I am down to two small shelves! You can do it!

Great review of the book and great story of your journey! I've not begun my own journey yet, unless you count planning and thinking on it. LOL! I read Joshua's book and even purchased a condensed version for my Kindle of just the bare facts. One of the thoughts that he or someone else made while we were talking about his views struck me. It had to do with what you mentioned: getting rid of books. I have maybe two libraries worth … and we live in a 14X70 trailer with two additions (currently unusable because of the ceilings falling in, although many of the books are still in boxes and shelves in those rooms). I dreamed of someday owning a home with one of those libraries you see in the movie Beauty and the Beast. I collected classics, encyclopedias and other basic resource books, books on writing, children's books, books for our homeschool years, and on and on. The thought of paring them down panics me, but I must do it. I keep putting it off, but this one thought makes it bearable: Pick out a book and consider who you know who might enjoy this book. THAT makes a difference! Knowing I'd bring joy to someone else is pleasurable and makes me think even I can get rid of 2 or 3 books … okay, 2 or 3 hundred! Literally! Blessings!
